Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW)

Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP), is a training designed for people that already have basic pistol knowledge, but want to obtain their Concealed Permit in Virginia. In this class, students will review Virginia law pertaining to concealed permits, technical parts of a pistol,  how ammunition works, how to load, unload, hold the pistol grip, proper sighting, cocking the gun, aiming, and shooting instinctively. (A local Police criminal background check is mandatory before signing up for this class. Local government or federal employees are not required if showing proof of work).

In the  Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) class, the students will be taught safety rules for handling a pistol. At the end of the class, each student will be taken to a shooting range. Students will be tested on the range of what they have learned in class. Upon successful completion, each student will receive a certificate that qualifies them to apply for their CCW Permit through their county circuit court in Virginia.

Training includes shooting range fees and ammunition.

Length of training:  5 hours

Method:  4 hours in a classroom and 1 hour at the shooting range.

Advanced CCW

This training is for people that already have a basic knowledge of a pistol but would like to learn more tactical skills.

Method:  4 hours in a classroom and 1 hour at the shooting range.

INITIAL REGISTRATION

Eligibility Requirements:

      • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
      • Successful completion of all initial training requirements for each registration category.
      • Be a United States citizen or legal resident alien of the United States.
      • No Criminal Record
