Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW)

Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) is a training for people that already have a basic knowledge of their personal pistol, but want to obtain their CCW permits in Virginia. In this class, students will review the different parts of a pistol, learn how ammunition works, how to load, unload, hold the grip, the sight of the pistol, cock the gun, aim and shoot. Finally, they will learn about local law enforcement laws pertaining to carrying a pistol while concealed. (A local Police criminal background check is mandatory before signing up for this class)

In the  Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) class, the students will be taught safety rules for handling a pistol. At the end of the class, each student will be taken to a shooting range. Students will be tested on the range of what they have learned in class. Upon successful completion, each student will receive a certificate that qualifies them to apply for their CCW Permit through their county circuit court in Virginia.

Advanced CCW

This training is for people that already have a basic knowledge of a weapon but would like to learn tactical skills.

      • Draw a pistol, aim, and move in different directions
      • How to run with the pistol
      • Changing magazine and while injured
      • Defensive Tactics while Concealed
      • Dealing with Malfunctions

Length of training:  5 hours

Method:  4 hours in a classroom and 1 hour at the shooting range.

Ammunition Requirements:

100 rounds

Gear: semi-automatic pistol, holster, belt, safety glasses, ear protection, hard-toe boots or sneakers, long shirt, and long pants.

Eligibility Requirements:

      • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
      • Successful completion of all initial training requirements for each registration category.
      • Be a United States citizen or legal resident alien of the United States.
      • No Criminal Record
